Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate Oncology Radiation Therapist to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this role, you will focus on the precise planning and administration of radiotherapy treatments.

Success in this position requires close collaboration with patients, ensuring their needs are met, addressing inquiries, and delivering exceptional medical care throughout their treatment journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and immobilize patients according to treatment plans and directives from Radiation Oncologists.
  • Administer radiation treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist.
  • Set up treatment rooms and provide comprehensive education to patients.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and review charts regularly.
  • Fulfill continuing education requirements to stay current in the field.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a licensed Radiation Therapist with ARRT and Texas Department of Health (TDH) credentials (graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program).
  • BLS certification required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in radiation therapy.
  • Strong technical skills and proficiency in medical imaging equipment.
  • Critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional hand-eye coordination.
  • Empathetic approach towards patient care while maintaining professionalism.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
