Position Overview: As a Residential Wireman, you will be tasked with the installation and maintenance of electrical systems in residential settings. This role involves collaborating with contractors on new builds and addressing service requests for existing homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot residential electrical systems in alignment with safety standards and operational goals.
  • Utilize both power and hand tools to set up electrical systems for single-family and multi-family residences.
  • Diagnose electrical issues and collaborate with team members to determine necessary materials and solutions.
  • Organize job schedules based on material availability and customer needs.
  • Travel to various job sites to assess and resolve electrical issues directly.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding project details and company information.
  • Report critical issues to project management with proposed solutions.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications: To be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill essential duties effectively. The following qualifications are preferred:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; licensed electrician preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Completion of a DOL/BAT apprenticeship program.
  • Valid driver's license.

Required Skills

  • Proficient in installing power systems, lighting, fire detection, security, and data systems.
  • Experience in identifying and repairing faults in electrical circuits and equipment.
  • Ability to ensure compliance and functionality of installations.
  • Experience in project management and crew oversight.
  • Capability to manage material estimates effectively.

Physical Requirements

Employees must be able to perform various physical tasks, including walking, standing, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, and peripheral vision, along with the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Work may occur in outdoor settings, exposing employees to various weather conditions. Employees must navigate potentially hazardous locations and handle electrical components while adhering to safety protocols.
