Position: Banding Technician

Nichiha USA Inc is a leading manufacturer in the cement fiber industry, recognized for its advanced production capabilities and commitment to quality. We are currently looking for skilled Operator Technicians to join our team at the Macon, GA facility, where you will play a vital role in the production of high-quality products.

Safety Responsibilities:

1) Adhere to all safety protocols:

  • Stay updated on safety training requirements.
  • Utilize all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) including steel-toed boots, safety glasses, ear protection, and hard hats.

2) Complete the General Plan Safety Certification within the initial two weeks of employment.

3) Familiarize yourself with Lock Out Tag Out procedures relevant to your assigned areas.

4) Execute tasks in compliance with OSHA standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Take ownership of safety, cleanliness, and product quality.

2) Operate machinery efficiently to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, production, and cost.

3) Set up equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and optimal running conditions.

4) Ensure timely and accurate completion of Standard Work tasks.

5) Identify and address non-conforming or out-of-specification parameters.

6) Maintain accurate and complete daily documentation.

7) Be prepared to cross-train in Raw Materials and Packaging areas.

8) Uphold maintenance standards for support equipment as per specifications.

Qualifications:

1) Proven experience with banding machinery and related components.

2) Familiarity with ERP and Inventory Control Systems.

3) Valid certification to operate powered industrial vehicles (PIV).

4) Ability to comprehend and interpret safety guidelines, operational manuals, and procedural documents.

5) Proficient in computer usage, capable of navigating multiple applications.

6) Self-motivated and able to maintain focus with minimal supervision.

7) Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.

8) Mechanical skills and experience are preferred.

Physical Requirements:

1) Must wear respirators and face shields when required, with appropriate facial grooming for effectiveness.

2) Ability to stand, twist, bend, climb, reach, and stoop for extended periods.

3) Capable of lifting a minimum of 45 lbs and pushing/pulling up to 60 lbs.

4) Comfortable working in a dusty and noisy environment.

5) Ability to work in a plant setting with varying seasonal temperatures.
