Position Summary:

The Production Machine Maintenance Technician is tasked with conducting routine inspections, maintenance, and fundamental troubleshooting of various production machinery, including but not limited to pad printing, screen printing, digital printing, sticker printing, laser engraving, heat transfer, and CNC machines. A comprehensive understanding of electrical control and pneumatic systems is essential to guarantee seamless and effective operations.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Machine Maintenance: Execute regular maintenance assessments on production machinery to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and rectify basic mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic challenges to minimize production interruptions.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Establish and adhere to a preventive maintenance regimen to mitigate unexpected failures and extend machinery longevity.
  • Equipment Calibration: Adjust machines and equipment as necessary to maintain precise performance and superior output quality.
  • Documentation: Keep meticulous records of all maintenance tasks, including repairs, modifications, and parts replacements, to maintain a thorough maintenance log.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all organizational policies, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards to ensure machinery is operated and maintained safely.
  • Spare Parts Management: Oversee and manage the inventory of spare parts, including the procurement and stocking of essential components for timely repairs.
  • Technical Collaboration: Work alongside production and technical teams to provide assistance and insights regarding machine operation, maintenance schedules, and troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in mechanics, electronics, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a maintenance capacity, ideally within a printing or related manufacturing setting. Experience in electrical engineering is advantageous.
  • Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of electrical control systems and pneumatic systems relevant to production machinery.
  • Skills: Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues, along with experience using lathes, digital milling machines, drill presses, cutting machines, and general hand tools.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision in color formulation and mixing is essential.
  • Independence: Capability to work autonomously while managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Calibration Knowledge: Familiarity with calibration techniques for printing and engraving equipment.
  • Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in computer-aided design is beneficial.
