The Senior Accountant will also contribute to the preparation of financial statements, oversee inventory management functions, and handle working capital effectively. This role necessitates strong collaboration across various departments and the ability to thrive under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the cost accounting framework and inventory management. Identify and implement enhancements to the system in response to product and cost fluctuations.
  • Support additional financial operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and month-end closing processes.
  • Conduct internal cost variance analyses and prepare comprehensive reports.
  • Evaluate collected data and maintain detailed records of findings.
  • Assess changes in products or services to understand their impact on costs.
  • Examine manufacturing and selling, general, and administrative (SG&A) expenses, generating regular reports that compare projected costs with actual production expenses, while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Estimate costs for new and proposed products based on engineering routings.
  • Deliver reports that detail and compare elements influencing pricing and profitability of products or services.
  • Manage periodic physical inventory counts and the inventory cycle count program.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities, special projects, and business analysis tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong grasp of accounting principles and practices.
  • Robust background in cost accounting systems.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet stringent deadlines.
  • Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
