Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients' speech and language abilities, identifying areas for improvement and developing personalized treatment plans.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, including Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) assessments, to inform treatment decisions.
- Establish and implement speech therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians, revising as necessary to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Teach patients and their families speech pathology techniques to promote independence and self-care.
- Record and report patient progress, including reaction to treatment and any changes in condition, to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in the development and revision of patient care plans, ensuring alignment with physician orders and patient needs.
- Graduate of an accredited Speech Therapy program or equivalent education.
- Licensed in the State of Florida as a Speech Therapist.
- Two years of clinical experience as a Speech Therapist.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Licensed driver with an automobile that is in good working order and insured in accordance with the organization's requirements.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating good observational, judgment, and communication skills.
