Marine Operations Specialist

Position Overview: The Marine Operations Specialist is tasked with overseeing the relocation of all vessels within the facility for various purposes such as haul & launch, designated maintenance, storage, or sales.
This role also entails the inspection, repair, and upkeep of all assigned machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy machinery including, but not limited to, marine forklifts, travelifts, and hydraulic trailers.
- Demonstrate proficiency in operating equipment safely and effectively while handling vessels.
- Utilize machinery to transport vessels in and out of water, to specified work areas, storage, or sales locations.
- Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Perform yard maintenance tasks such as pressure washing, bottom painting, blocking and standing vessels, and general upkeep as necessary.
- Assist with grounds maintenance and ensure the overall cleanliness of the marina.
- Be available for overtime as needed.
Additional Duties: Other responsibilities may be assigned by the Manager.
Safety and Environmental Compliance: Adhere to Safe Harbor Marinas' safety and environmental protocols and complete all required training.
Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary for specific tasks or work environments.
Promptly report all accidents, injuries, spills, and near misses.
Technical and Physical Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Heavy forklift operation experience and certification are mandatory.
- Ability to climb ladders and work in various weather conditions.
- Capability to work in confined spaces.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Basic boat handling skills are preferred.
