Job Summary

The Operations Monitoring and Rapid Data Solutions team, part of JobRialto, is seeking a strong Azure Data Engineer with expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, Synapse, and advanced SQL skills. The ideal candidate will be a Data Modelling and Analytics Expert, specializing in Power BI Semantic Model development and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) query implementation. This role focuses on enhancing our data analytics capabilities through effective model design and data processing.

Main Responsibilities:

Semantic Model Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain a scalable and efficient Semantic Model in Power BI tailored to business requirements.
- Ensure optimal performance and user experience within the Semantic Model.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and validate model designs.

DAX Query Implementation:
- Write and optimize DAX queries to create calculated columns, measures, and tables.
- Ensure efficiency in DAX calculations to support reporting needs.
- Provide guidance on best practices for DAX usage among team members.

Data Engineering:
- Utilize Databricks Lakehouse for effective management of large data volumes.
- Implement data processing workflows using Azure Databricks, ensuring seamless integration with Power BI.
- Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using Databricks for data preparation.

DBT Implementation:
- Implement DBT for data transformation and modelling within the data pipeline.
- Create modular and reusable DBT models that align with business requirements.
- Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data quality and integrity.

Advanced Hands-On Experiences:
- Utilize advanced Power BI features, including row-level security and incremental data refresh.
- Implement custom visuals and integrate APIs to enhance Power BI functionality.
- Develop advanced analytical solutions using AI capabilities within Power BI, such as predictive analytics and machine learning models.
- Leverage advanced data modeling techniques, including star schema design.

Key Skills:
- Proven experience with Power BI, including Semantic Model development and DAX implementation.
- Expertise in SQL queries, Databricks Lakehouse, Azure Databricks, and DBT.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with data visualization best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
