Position Overview

Under the supervision of the Government and Community Affairs Manager, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst plays a crucial role as the Community Affairs Liaison and Equity Analyst. This position is essential in leading initiatives that support and promote the Department of Transportation's Equity Program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary contact for community engagement and collaboration with community-based and non-governmental organizations.
  • Provide strategic guidance to the department, focusing on communication, education, training, analysis, reform, and community engagement.
  • Develop and enhance partnerships both internally and externally to achieve equity objectives.
  • Conduct complex analyses related to equity processes and identify pertinent issues.

Qualifications

Eligibility for this position may be determined by performance on the Associate Governmental Program Analyst Exam. Candidates must also meet the minimum qualifications for the Associate Personnel Analyst classification.

Working Conditions

This role is based in a dynamic environment, requiring the ability to work in various settings. The incumbent should be prepared for occasional travel to engage with local agencies and stakeholders. Telework options may be available, subject to departmental policies.
