The Impact You'll Make
You will be part of the Mechatronics Engineering team, responsible for designing, analyzing, and evaluating mechanical products. Your work will have a significant impact across multiple product groups, requiring strong analytical skills and the ability to work in a team environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for aspects of mechanical design, analysis, evaluation, and ongoing performance of one or more Mechatronics products
* Work within cross-functional technical teams to develop comprehensive product specifications, evaluate performance, and deliver timely solutions
* Utilize internal rapid prototyping to demonstrate and/or learn from quick design iteration
* Spend a substantial portion of your time hands-on in the lab, working with products
* Work with suppliers to ensure parts can be manufactured to performance and cost objectives
* Help drive technical innovation, filing invention disclosures for novel ideas
* Develop material for design reviews following Lam processes
* Develop test criteria and equipment for automated test of products, providing necessary engineering support for successful transition to high-volume manufacturing
* Conduct failure analysis and drive continual improvement throughout the product's life cycle, following 8D methodology for repeat and/or complex problems

Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent experience
* Strong design background coupled with solid engineering skills
* Extremely knowledgeable using 3D CAD tools such as CREO, NX, etc.
* Proven analytical skills, including modeling analyses (simulations) using FEA applications such as Creo Simulation, COMSOL, etc.
* Ability to learn new skills quickly with minimal guidance
* Familiarity with machining practices and sheet metal fabrication, as well as other manufacturing methods
* Familiarity with additive manufacturing (3D printing) and other rapid prototyping methods
* Ability to work in a team environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities
* Strong skills and experiences in problem-solving, time and priority management, communication, and project management
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
