Position Overview:

The Project Engineer at Overaa Construction is integral to the Project Team, assisting the Project Manager and Superintendent in the planning, management, and execution of projects. Key responsibilities include supporting preconstruction efforts, scheduling, estimating, cost management, documentation oversight, jobsite productivity, and nurturing positive client relationships. Project Engineers are vital to the successful completion of projects, embodying Overaa's core values and culture.

  • Reports directly to Project Manager(s).
  • Assists the Project Superintendent with on-site tasks.
  • May operate from either the project field office or the main office.
  • Encourages positive relationships with stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities:

Project Engineers at Overaa Construction are tasked with document management, handling claims and change orders, planning and scheduling project initiation, conducting project meetings, overseeing project closeout, and supporting project administration.

  • Facilitates document control by coordinating and streamlining information flow.
  • Assists in the management of claims and change orders.
  • Supports project initiation, planning, and scheduling efforts.
  • Participates in project meetings.
  • Manages and/or assists with project closeout processes.
  • Handles project administration duties.
  • May assist with project acquisition activities.
Essential Skills:

Successful candidates for the Project Engineer position should possess strong communication skills, effective time management, negotiation abilities, decision-making skills, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to perform well under pressure while maintaining high energy levels. A bachelor's degree in Construction Management is required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Project Management Software, Scheduling Software, and tools such as Bluebeam, Adobe, Revit, or Navisworks.

Compensation:

The expected salary range for this role is between $75,000 and $110,000 annually, excluding bonuses or additional benefits. The final salary will be determined based on various factors, including skills, experience, education, and qualifications.
