Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Waste Connections in McKinney, Texas. This is a 2nd shift position with a 3:00PM start time, 10-12 hour shift, with occasional overtime. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in heavy truck equipment maintenance and repair or completion of a diesel tech program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment to ensure compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
  • Complete required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software to document repairs, parts usage, and repair times.
  • Review and complete or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
  • Perform maintenance-related work as required, including cleaning and maintaining a safe work area.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure needed repairs or tasks are completed.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in heavy truck equipment maintenance and repair or completion of a diesel tech program.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work in a team environment.
  • Must have own tools.
