Key Responsibilities of the Billing Specialist:

  • Distribute and manage proformas at the start of each month.
  • Execute proforma adjustments and generate draft invoices, followed by final invoices, including multi-payer invoices.
  • Handle electronic billing submissions for clients that necessitate submission through a third-party e-billing platform.
  • Oversee the status of billing to ensure all billing attorneys have returned their edited proformas with billing instructions.
  • This includes tracking e-billing submissions to confirm successful submission.
  • Maintain and update specific instructions related to billing attorneys' requirements in generating their invoices.
  • Keep official client billing records organized and up to date.

Preferred Qualifications of the Billing Specialist:

  • Candidate should possess a minimum of one year of legal billing experience within a law firm or similar professional services environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and complete them under tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are essential for effective communication in person, via email, and over the phone, as well as for following instructions from a diverse group of attorneys, clients, and staff while providing timely and courteous information.

The Billing Specialist position is fully onsite with a competitive salary range based on experience.
