Job Overview

First Student Canada-Transco is seeking a skilled Transportation Manager Assistant to support our operations in Hillsboro, New Hampshire. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of students.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to assist our drivers and management team in providing exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, be able to multitask, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist drivers in safe operation of routes, including pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment on the bus, including cleaning the interior and assisting with student loading and unloading.
  • Communicate effectively with school personnel, students, and parents to ensure a positive experience.
  • Participate in safety meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on industry best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Good verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask with ease.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule, including early morning and evening shifts.
