Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Development Manager to lead an Agile/Scrum team to deliver assets each sprint and serve as a traditional manager of resources. This exceptional individual will coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful launches of stable and compliant technologies that enhance the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the SCRUM process and UX design sessions.
  • Collaborate with the scrum team, including Product Owners, Product Analysts, DevManagers, Business Analysts, Back-end Engineers, QA Engineers, UI/UX Specialists, and others, to design and implement all facets of application development, e.g., UI, APIs, Features, Hotfixes, etc.
  • Manage standard sprint ceremony calendar and all milestones, therein.
  • Perform daily standup by validating ticket updates and work-performed daily.
  • Analyze stories from the product team or acceptable reporter for entry into the Sprint.
  • Assist in backlog grooming (per the hand of executing owner body) and update Jira stories.
  • Manage the utilization and time management of the development team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of professional Agile/Scrum team management of software development concerning web applications, including team collaboration and code repositories (GitHub, SVN, Bitbucket, etc).
  • 1 year of programming experience or equivalent experience with one or more software programming language experience, preferably, React Native, Java, SQL, MongoDB, Firebase.
  • 2+ years of active team engagement in design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experience using hosting services (AWS).
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
  • 4+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, unit and integration testing, and operations experience.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and requirements.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track project progress.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, and proactively address them.
  • Using Jira, manage project resources, including assigning tasks, capital expenditures, tracking work progress, and ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Create, maintain, and update calendar for all Engineering Department employees and assess capacity against the work calendar.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned stakeholders, providing regular project updates and addressing their concerns.
  • Ensure the project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in project management and technology.
  • Effectively produces technical documentation and presentations.
  • Creates timelines, roadmaps, and technical diagrams for project management work.
  • Tracks KPIs and other metric-focused reports as needed.
  • Familiar with working in agile methodologies, experience working in a sprint structure.
  • Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
  • Strong practical understanding of Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
