The Medical Claims Specialist will be responsible for thoroughly and efficiently managing patient accounts to ensure accurate and timely billing and payment. This includes following up with insurance providers, generating patient statements, and resolving any discrepancies or issues that may arise. Responsibilities

The Medical Claims Specialist will be responsible for the following key tasks:
  • Accurately and efficiently processing patient claims and follow-up correspondence with insurance providers.
  • Generating and sending patient statements, as well as responding to patient inquiries and concerns.
  • Resolving any discrepancies or issues related to billing and payment, working closely with patients, insurance providers, and internal teams as needed.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of patient accounts and billing information.
  • Collaborating with the business office team to ensure seamless and efficient workflow.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the Medical Claims Specialist should have:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, insurance providers, and internal teams.
  • A strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and coding systems, including ICD-10 and CPT.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this position is $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
