Job Summary and QualificationsWe are currently looking for a Certified Surgical Technologist (Operating Room Technician) to work on a full-time basis.
As a Certified Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in patient care by greeting and comforting patients as they are transported to the surgical suite.
In the operating room, your responsibilities will include performing technical duties to assist in the preparation and care of surgical patients.
Typical responsibilities may include:
- Gathering and assembling necessary supplies and equipment for surgical procedures.
- Preparing a sterile instrument table for surgical operations.
- Assisting in positioning patients and preparing their skin for surgery.
- Maintaining sterile techniques and monitoring for any potential breaches.
- Supporting the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and materials.
- Assisting in patient monitoring.
- Coordinating the cleaning and sterilization of equipment post-procedure.
- Graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program is required.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (NCCT, NBSTSA) is mandatory.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Previous experience in a hospital-based operating room setting is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, lifting, and moving patients or equipment up to 50 pounds.
- A collaborative team-oriented attitude is essential.
