Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range for this position reflects a nationwide market range and encompasses a wide spectrum of salaries for this role across the country.

The actual salary will be influenced by various factors, including the complexity and location of the role, as well as the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience.

Employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards as part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program.

What Is the Opportunity?

This role is part of a structured training program aimed at developing skills necessary for advancing to an Auto Claims Representative position.

The training is designed to cultivate abilities in investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and resolving claims related to lower-value and less complex losses.

Quality claim handling is essential throughout the claim life cycle, including customer interactions, coverage assessments, investigations, evaluations, reserving, negotiations, and resolutions, all while adhering to internal and external quality standards and state regulations.

Completion of an online pre-employment assessment is required as part of the hiring process.


What Will You Do?

Participate in a comprehensive training program that includes a mix of online, virtual, classroom, and on-the-job training, which may involve travel.

Engage in core assignments during on-the-job training, including:

  • Attending ongoing training sessions focused on the auto insurance sector.
  • Collaborating closely with a Unit Manager or mentor to efficiently resolve assigned claims.

Customer Experience:

Deliver consistent service quality throughout the claim life cycle, ensuring prompt communication, clear explanations of processes, setting expectations, and following through on commitments to achieve optimal outcomes.


Coverage Analysis:

Review and assess coverage, applying policy conditions, provisions, exclusions, and endorsements for Auto Damage claims in designated jurisdictions. Ensure proper application of deductibles and verify available benefits and coverage limits.


Investigation and Evaluation:

Conduct thorough investigations to gather relevant facts necessary for determining coverage, causation, liability, damages, and exposure. Engage with policyholders, claimants, law enforcement, and other relevant parties to obtain necessary information.

Recognize the need for inspections based on loss details and coordinate the appraisal process while overseeing repair processes and expense management.


Reserving:

Establish and maintain appropriate claim and expense reserves in a timely manner. Manage file inventory and reserves effectively by documenting claim activities.


Negotiation and Resolution:

Determine settlement amounts based on appraisals, negotiate settlements within authority limits, and prepare necessary correspondence for insureds and claimants.

Provide support to other areas of the Auto Line of Business as needed.


Insurance License:

Acquisition and maintenance of necessary Insurance License(s) may be required to fulfill job functions, typically within three months of starting the position.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 2 years of work or customer service experience. Candidates should demonstrate:

What is a Must Have?

A High School Diploma or GED and one year of customer service experience, or a Bachelor's Degree is required.
