This position oversees multiple facilities across North America, requiring travel of up to 50% quarterly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and synchronize activities within Quality Assurance, EHS, and Manufacturing Engineering departments to guarantee operational excellence and alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and cultivate teams within each support function, promoting a culture of high performance, continuous learning, and accountability.
  • Oversee the formulation and enforcement of EHS policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Champion the adoption of quality management systems and continuous improvement strategies to elevate product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the Manufacturing Engineering team to enhance production processes, equipment, and workflows for improved efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Collaborate closely with supply chain and procurement to ensure the timely availability of high-quality materials and equipment.
  • Partner with enterprise manufacturing and plant leaders to support site-specific quality and manufacturing engineering teams.
  • Analyze production data and trends to make informed decisions regarding production planning, capacity expansion, and technology investments.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for EHS, Quality, and Engineering & Maintenance departments to assess effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Encourage a culture of teamwork, innovation, and excellence within the manufacturing team, fostering open communication and professional development.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Execute supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include interviewing and hiring employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; coaching, rewarding, and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent level of education in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • A Master's degree in Engineering Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, with at least 7 years in manufacturing operations and a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role overseeing multiple departments.
  • Proven success in leading process enhancements, implementing EHS policies, and managing quality systems in a manufacturing setting.
  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing engineering practices, Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma quality management techniques, and production training programs.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, employing a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at collaborating with all organizational levels and external stakeholders; experienced in matrix organizations.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
