Job Summary:
The Computed Tomography Technologist operates computerized Tomography equipment to make quality images of designated portions of the body under the direct order of a physician and in accordance with radiation safety procedures.
This position requires a graduate degree in Radiologic Technology or Computerized Tomography and registration as a Registered Technologist in Radiography, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Sonography, or Computed Tomography.
Responsibilities:
- Operate computerized Tomography equipment to produce high-quality images of designated body parts.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Provide patient care in a timely, professional, and safe manner.
- Report to the Supervising Computed Tomography Technologist.
Requirements:
Clinical experience in Radiology is preferred. A graduate degree in Radiologic Technology or Computerized Tomography is required. Registration as a Registered Technologist in Radiography, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Sonography, or Computed Tomography is also required. Hours of work are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 9am-9:30pm. Every weekend is required, and call is required.
