Position Overview:
Our esteemed client, a leader in the dairy industry, is in search of a Manufacturing Operations Leader for their facility. This pivotal role will report directly to the Plant Manager and oversee a continuous operation, focusing on mentoring, coaching, and training team members to cultivate high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the Plant Steering Team to formulate and execute both short-term and long-term strategies, including project leadership, staffing, and employee engagement initiatives.
2. Lead a production team consisting of seven salaried employees and over 140 hourly associates, aiming to foster a robust safety culture, enhance employee relations, and ensure consistency across all teams.
3. Develop and implement programs to guarantee the efficient and cost-effective operation of facility assets.
4. Manage safety, quality, service, and cost performance within the designated area.
5. Provide recommendations to senior management regarding long-term labor strategies and capital equipment requirements.
6. Implement changes to systems, policies, and procedures, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
7. Work closely with Human Resources on employee relations matters, ensuring consistent policy application.
8. Align strategies and tactics with departmental and company vision and goals.
9. Maintain operating budgets and capital spending plans for the assigned area.
10. Identify, recruit, and develop staff capabilities necessary to meet departmental objectives consistently.
11. Ensure adherence to industry best practices and provide appropriate training to employees.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years of supervisory or management experience in food processing or manufacturing operations, demonstrating progressive leadership experience.
- Strong skills in presentation, communication, training, and interpersonal relations.
- Proven ability to analyze product and labor cost variances effectively.
- Experience in high-speed food manufacturing.

Preferred Qualifications:
- A decade of supervisory or management experience in cheese or food manufacturing operations with a solid leadership background.
- An MBA or a master's degree in engineering is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with all levels and functions within the organization.
- Proficiency in project management.
- Experience in leveraging the skills and capabilities of front-line employees.
- Familiarity with TPM, Six Sigma, and various problem-solving methodologies.
