We are seeking a highly skilled District Healthcare Coordinator to join our team at Parlier Unified School District. Our district serves an area of 20 square miles in Fresno County, encompassing a population base of over 16,500 residents. We have a student-centered focus and prioritize support and community involvement.
Job SummaryThe District Healthcare Coordinator will provide health case management and render health services to students in the Parlier Unified School District. This role involves working with teachers, administrators, speech therapists, psychologists, and medical consultants to establish and maintain a comprehensive school health program.
Main Responsibilities- Establish and maintain a comprehensive school health program by collaborating with educators and healthcare professionals.
- Follow prescribed procedures for emergency care, medication at school, specialized physical health care, and mandated programs.
- Maintain accurate health records and related communication systems.
- Evaluate nursing practice quality and effectiveness, considering factors related to safety and cost.
- Contribute to professional development among peers and school staff.
- Collaborate with students, families, and healthcare providers to meet individual needs.
- Coordinate school health services to promote wellness and deliver targeted health education.
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related field.
- A valid California School Nurse Credential.
- Valid California RN license.
- California PHN certificate desired.
