Key Responsibilities:

The Nurse Graduate is tasked with delivering and overseeing both direct and indirect nursing care to designated age-specific populations. This role employs the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to meet the objectives of the nursing department. Graduate nurses and experienced nurses entering the training program will work under the direct guidance of a preceptor for all primary duties and responsibilities throughout the training period, transitioning to independent practice upon successful completion of the program. Compliance with the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and adherence to all relevant local, state, and federal regulations is essential. Active participation in exceptional customer service and maintaining respectful relationships is expected.

Value Added to the Team:

  • The Nurse Graduate is responsible for the coordinated delivery of nursing care for a patient or a designated group of patients within a care unit, along with the daily management and oversight of related clinical activities.
  • New Graduate RNs will apply nursing skills in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in their patient care delivery.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program (CCNE or ACEN preferred).
  • Must have less than one (1) year of nursing experience.
  • Must be graduating within the next year or have graduated within the past year.
  • Current Florida RN license (may apply without license, but must obtain license prior to the licensure deadline).
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Professional Resume required.
