Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Computer Technology courses in-person and/or online, utilizing a variety of instructional methods and technologies to engage students and promote learning.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with course objectives and learning outcomes, ensuring that students meet the required standards.
  • Assess student learning and progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support student success.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum, ensuring that courses are relevant, effective, and aligned with industry standards.
  • Stay current with industry developments and advancements, incorporating best practices and emerging technologies into teaching and learning.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or a related field with 18 graduate semester hours in Information Technology or Computer Science.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system and current Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience teaching IT, networking, or computer service-related coursework, with a strong background in instructional design and delivery.
  • CompTIA A+ certification or willingness to obtain, with experience in Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as D2L (Desire2Learn).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience teaching in a higher education setting, with a strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Experience with curriculum development, implementation, and assessment, with a focus on student-centered learning and outcomes-based education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff.
