Job Title: Per Diem Music, Recreation, or Art Therapist

Universal Health Services is seeking a Per Diem Music, Recreation, or Art Therapist to join our team at Hampton Behavioral Health Center.

About the Role:

This is a per diem position that requires flexibility and adaptability. As a Per Diem Music, Recreation, or Art Therapist, you will provide direct patient care on assigned units, including Creative Therapy group sessions and doctor-ordered individual assessments sessions. You will also be responsible for completing Creative Therapy documentation, including assessments, group summaries, and billing within time constraints.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care on assigned units, including Creative Therapy group sessions and doctor-ordered individual assessments sessions.
  • Complete Creative Therapy documentation, including assessments, group summaries, and billing within time constraints.
  • Serve as a member of the treatment team.
  • Understand and utilize principles of growth/development for adolescent patients and the age-specific needs of geriatric patients.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school and Board Certified Music Therapist for Music Therapist position.
  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school and Board Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist for Recreation Therapist position.
  • A Master's Degree from an accredited school and Registered Art Therapist for Art Therapist position.
  • Weekend required.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Inpatient psychiatric experience and ability to work with large groups preferred.
