Job Summary

We are seeking a Per Diem Music, Recreation, or Art Therapist to join our team at Universal Health Services. As a Per Diem Therapist, you will provide direct patient care on assigned units, including Creative Therapy group sessions and doctor-ordered individual assessments sessions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care on assigned units, including Creative Therapy group sessions and doctor-ordered individual assessments sessions.
  • Complete Creative Therapy documentation, including assessments, group summaries, and billing within time constraints.
  • Serve as a member of the treatment team.
  • Understand and utilize principles of growth/development for adolescent patients and the age-specific needs of geriatric patients.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school and Board Certified Music Therapist (for Music Therapist position).
  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school and Board Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (for Recreation Therapist position).
  • A Master's Degree from an accredited school and Registered Art Therapist (for Art Therapist position).
  • Weekend required.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Inpatient psychiatric experience and ability to work with large groups preferred.
