About Our Organization:

We are a comprehensive credit union dedicated to serving members from various healthcare sectors.

Role Responsibilities:

This role involves assessing the financial requirements of each member and suggesting suitable financial products.

Key Duties:

Customer Service

  • Provide service to both internal and external members in accordance with the credit union's service commitments.
  • Achieve all set sales and service objectives.
  • Maintain sufficient product knowledge as evaluated by the annual product knowledge certification.

Account Management

  • Create savings and membership accounts.
  • Open checking accounts and order checks.
  • Establish money market accounts and order checks.
  • Set up additional savings, holiday club, and vacation club accounts.

Record Maintenance

  • Process name and address changes.
  • Manage payroll deduction updates.
  • Organize membership cards and ensure all documentation is prepared for scanning.
  • Handle all account maintenance tasks.
  • Consistently scan all required documents in a timely manner.

Member Support

  • Investigate account inquiries or discrepancies.
  • Provide members with information on rates and account disclosures.
  • Recommend products and services to meet members' financial needs.
  • Process requests for check copies, cards, and statements.
  • Complete verification of deposit forms.

Transaction Processing

  • Post deposits to various accounts.
  • Process loan payments.
  • Handle VISA payments.
  • Send receipts for deposits received by mail.
  • Issue withdrawal checks or close accounts as requested.

Accurate Balancing

  • Review checks for endorsements and negotiability, determining if a hold on funds is necessary.
  • Ensure transaction slips are accurately completed, assisting members as needed.
  • Verify that all totals align with computer balances.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Travel to other branches as needed to assist with staffing shortages.
  • Perform all duties typically associated with your home branch.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a financial institution is beneficial but not essential.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues to foster a team-oriented environment.
  • Basic math skills required for balancing and cash handling; familiarity with computer applications.
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to assist members with their financial needs.

This position is based onsite.
