Job Title and ResponsibilitiesThe Physician Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed Physician and will assess the physical and psychosocial status of patients by means of interview, health history, physical exam, and diagnostic tests.
The Physician Assistant will review test findings, make diagnosis, write orders, prescribe medications, and initiate appropriate action to facilitate implementation of a therapeutic plan.
The Physician Assistant will participate in daily team huddles, provide therapeutic intervention, prescribe drugs, devices, and immunizing agents according to written protocol and practice agreements with supervising physician.
The Physician Assistant will assess patient symptoms, evaluate physical findings, formulate a diagnosis, and develop an appropriate management plan.
The Physician Assistant will order and review labs, diagnostic tests, and provide appropriate follow-up of results.
The Physician Assistant will provide follow-up with patients by phone, mail, or appointment to review health management plan.
The Physician Assistant will monitor and provide follow-up of clients with acute illness and chronic conditions within scope of practice.
The Physician Assistant will make appropriate physician consultations and referrals.
The Physician Assistant will assist in educating patients about disease prevention, nutrition, caring for illnesses, supporting self-management and the importance of continuity of care in patient-centered medical home.
The Physician Assistant will use Disease Management and Health Maintenance to coordinate care for individual patient.
The Physician Assistant will complete continuing education activities required for board certification and credentialing.
Any additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Education RequirementsCurrent licensure as a Physician Assistant
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program required
Preferred SkillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
