Job Overview

At PCS Mental Health, our goal is to empower individuals facing serious mental health challenges, co-occurring substance use disorders, and/or dual diagnoses of serious mental illness and intellectual/developmental disabilities to lead fulfilling lives within their communities, as defined by them.

Key Responsibilities:

This role involves the development, execution, and documentation of training and treatment plans for designated members. The position requires participation in crisis management systems, engagement in program activities, and oversight of clients, alongside providing training and guidance in daily living skills.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Implementing and recording interventions and progress in relation to each member's care and recovery plan.
  • Supervising member activities and outings.
  • Training members in daily living skills and providing necessary supervision.
  • Participating in assigned group activities.
  • Offering individualized support to assigned members.
  • Delivering targeted training to members based on assessed skill gaps and growth opportunities.
  • Conducting and documenting face-to-face observations of members as per established policies.
  • Performing and documenting safety checks in accordance with procedures.
  • Preparing shift notes for assigned members.
  • Monitoring and documenting self-administration of medications by members.
  • Conducting and documenting observed drug and alcohol screenings as per policy.
  • Completing all required training and continuing education.
  • Assisting the community with activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL), sometimes working directly with members.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of an associate degree in a human services-related field.
  • At least two years of experience in therapeutic community settings and/or psychiatric care; candidates with a Bachelor's Degree may qualify with one year of experience.
  • A valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, as work hours may change with little notice.
