Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team at The Orchards. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the upkeep of our buildings and grounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, repairing masonry, woodwork, and plumbing
  • Assist with project work including stripping and waxing floors, carpet extraction, and spring cleaning
  • Coordinate workload and equipment to increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Document information required by federal, state, and local authorities
  • Perform ground maintenance activities such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and removing weeds
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • At least two years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and technical procedure manuals
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions or complaints from peers, residents, staff, and management
Work Environment

The work environment at The Orchards is fast-paced and dynamic. You will be frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, and extreme temperatures. You will also be required to work in a variety of settings, including outdoors and in equipment rooms.
