Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate material handling equipment
- Utilize mathematical skills to ensure accurate blending ratios
- Access computerized systems to retrieve specific blend recipes and calculate daily production totals
- Conduct quality assessments on products to ensure they meet sales standards
- Support our sustainability initiatives by managing ingredient requirements and monitoring temperature controls to minimize waste
- Maintain accurate logs for inventory management, quality assurance, production schedules, and waste tracking
- Record variations in inventory including raw and processed ingredients to guarantee proper blending
- Adhere to established blending protocols to maintain product consistency
- Comply with FDA, SQF, and OSHA safety regulations
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to operate material handling equipment, both standing and sitting
- Basic math and computer proficiency
- Proficient in reading and writing in English
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods (8-10 hours)
- Capability to navigate stairs
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as provided
Work Environment:
This position involves working in proximity to moving machinery, with a potentially high noise level.
Compensation: The starting pay rate is $16.50 per hour with an additional $1.00 shift premium for midnight shifts.
