UNIT OVERVIEW:
The Inpatient Pediatric Unit is a 20-bed facility that promotes self-scheduling with guidance from a scheduling committee. Staff members have the opportunity for cross-training in both PICU and NICU/SCN.

POSITION SUMMARY:

As an integral part of the patient care team, the Registered Nurse delivers safe, age-appropriate care and serves as a knowledgeable resource for patients and their families.


QUALIFICATIONS:
- Formal education equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years of college)
- Specialized knowledge in a relevant field
- Associate's degree or Diploma in Nursing
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required; experience in Inpatient Pediatrics is preferred
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Maryland
- Certification in BLS from the American Heart Association
- PALS certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire
- Oncology certification to be achieved within 1 year of hire
