Job Summary:

As a Radiologic Technologist at Yale New Haven Health, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care through the use of computed tomography (CT) scanning and diagnostic imaging. This position requires a strong understanding of radiologic procedures and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provides care to patients undergoing CT and diagnostic imaging exams
Informs patients of procedure details and expectations
Maintains knowledge and competency to perform diagnostic exams on multi-slice CT scanners
Facilitates patient flow, prioritizing patients as needed
Produces diagnostic-quality radiographs using proper technical factors and patient positioning
Completes paperwork and patient documentation accurately and timely
Effectively communicates with team members and other departments to maximize excellent patient care

Requirements:

High school degree or G.E.D. required
Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program in an A.M.A. approved school
One to two years of experience in a CT department preferred
Current Connecticut State License in Radiologic Technology or obtain licensure as soon as registered
BLS required
