Laboratory Support Specialist

The Laboratory Support Specialist is responsible for performing specimen collection by venipuncture and capillary puncture, labeling, and processing. They verify the accuracy and quality of collected specimens, dispatch them to testing locations, and train others in these techniques.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and process patient specimens using venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques.
- Verify specimen accuracy and quality, ensuring proper handling and storage.
- Dispatch specimens to designated testing locations.
- Train staff members on specimen collection and processing procedures.
A high school graduate or equivalent is required for this position. EKG training through an accredited organization is preferred.
Work EnvironmentThis role is based at Outpatient Care East (0837) with varying shifts available.
CompensationAn estimated salary range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
