Job Responsibilities

This position is responsible for developing and implementing programs to educate individuals on substance abuse and its effects. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Qualifications
  • A B.A. degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in human services or C.A.A.P. (Certified Associate Addiction Professional Licensure).
  • Prior experience within a correctional setting is preferred.
  • A working knowledge of the Twelve Step Program of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous.
  • The ability to interact in a professional manner in both individual and group counseling settings.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work with a team of professionals and have the ability to implement team strategy approaches to work assignments.
  • The ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
  • A valid state driver's license is required.
Benefits and Compensation
