About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Professional to join our team at Block Island Beach House. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our beachfront resort.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and perform routine maintenance on equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize safety risks.
  • Equipment Repair: Troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems as needed, including plumbing fixtures, HVAC units, and electrical wiring.
  • Property Upkeep: Maintain the overall appearance and functionality of our properties, including grounds, exterior appearance, and safety features.
  • Project Management: Plan and implement projects to improve facilities and equipment, working with vendors and contractors as needed.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies, including after-hours and weekend calls.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations and excellent guest experiences.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 2+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in a hospitality or resort setting.
  • Skills: Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Certifications/Licenses: Valid driver's license and any required certifications or licenses for equipment operation.
