Position Overview

The Respiratory Therapist plays a crucial role in delivering essential Cardiopulmonary Services within the healthcare environment. This professional is either registered or certified by the National Board of Respiratory Care, ensuring high standards of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to established protocols set forth by the medical staff and departmental policies to ensure effective diagnostic and therapeutic services for both inpatients and outpatients.
  • Assist physicians in both invasive and non-invasive procedures.
  • Administer medicated aerosols using medical compressed gas.
  • Manage airways and ventilators, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Perform arterial line insertions, intubations, and conduct pulmonary function studies.
  • Execute cardiac and pulmonary stress tests, along with blood gas analyses.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
Work Schedule

This position is structured as a Day Shift role, operating from 7 AM to 7 PM with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts. Additionally, there will be a weekend rotation required, but no on-call duties are expected.
