Radiation Therapist

Job Summary

The Radiation Therapist is a key member of our team, responsible for delivering precise and accurate ionizing therapeutic radiation under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist. This role requires a strong understanding of complex techniques and equipment, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and implement prescription and treatment plans as directed by the Radiation Oncologist
  • Educate patients on procedures, skincare, side effects, and nutrition
  • Perform simulation procedures and prepare immobilization devices for various body parts
  • Monitor patient's clinical progress and withhold treatment if necessary
  • Operate therapeutic equipment, ensure proper patient positioning, and monitor patient during procedure
Requirements
  • Graduated from an accredited Radiation Therapy School
  • Current ARRT and State licensure required
  • Minimum of six (6) months' experience as a staff therapist preferred
