Key Responsibilities- Care for patients with a variety of cancer types with an emphasis on palliative care.
- New inpatient and outpatient consultations in collaboration with the attending physician.
- Return patient visits for disease surveillance, survivorship, and post-radiation evaluation.
- Care coordination, including imaging studies and aspects of radiation planning.
- Management of inpatients with acute issues.
- Patient education about the process of radiation care and side effects.
- Management of side effects related to treatment.
- Assessment of nutritional, psychosocial, and palliative needs.
- Assisting with patient care if enrolled in clinical trials.
- Participation in regularly scheduled peer review conferences and possibly multi-disciplinary clinics.
- Potential participation in procedures after relevant training.

Qualifications- Minimum Qualifications:
- Physician Assistant (NCCPA) or Nurse Practitioner (AANP/AANC) Certification.
- Ability to obtain Colorado practice license.
- Ability to obtain prescriptive authority (DEA License).
- Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in the clinical management of radiation oncology patients.
- Experience assessing patients and developing care plans.
- Experience teaching both professional and lay persons formally and informally.
