THIS POSITION IS OFFSHORE ROTATIONAL TO THE GULF COAST

Position Overview: Responsible for executing maintenance and repair tasks on gas compression and processing equipment at client sites, as instructed. Serves as a technical expert for intricate issues within the designated area.

Key Skills and Competencies:

Proficiencies:
  • Exhibit advanced troubleshooting and repair capabilities on various equipment types, including compressor systems, gas processing, and power generation apparatus utilized in the region.
  • Conduct Preventative Maintenance (PM) independently and to standard.
  • Oversee a team in executing Major Maintenance (MM), Overhaul, and MOB/DEMOB projects effectively with minimal assistance.
  • Execute compressor performance calculations.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English (for work orders, manuals, etc.).
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental protocols.
  • Utilize computer skills, including vendor-specific software (Cat, Waukesha, Ariel, Murphy, etc.), Internet Explorer, and Outlook.
  • Consistently complete and submit required documentation accurately and punctually.

Knowledge Base:
  • Comprehensive understanding of gas engines and compressors, electrical systems, control panels, wiring, etc., acquired through advanced training or proven performance.
  • Awareness of emerging technologies.
  • Familiarity with relevant HSE procedures and regulations.
  • General comprehension of client production equipment, including scrubbers and on/off skids.
  • In-depth knowledge of compressor operational processes and systems.
  • Understanding of company maintenance standards and the ability to follow them accurately.

Educational Background and Certifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Preferred training in gas or diesel engine and compressor systems.

Experience Requirements:
  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of experience with natural gas engines and compressors, along with a solid understanding of production equipment.
  • Proven track record of safe and effective service experience.

Leadership Expectations:
  • Expected to mentor and transfer knowledge to others, providing training and reviewing work.
  • May occasionally lead a team.

  • Must meet medical requirements necessary to wear PPE required by the role (includes respiratory protection medical requirements as necessary).
  • Regularly required to display good manual dexterity and reach with hands and arms.
  • Constantly required to communicate effectively.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, twist, balance, and stoop with good stability.
  • Regularly required to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 110 pounds.
  • Occasionally required to carry at least 40 pounds with one hand (or in a backpack) for at least 50 feet.
  • Occasionally required to climb in and around equipment, stairs, and slanted ladders.
  • Occasionally required to sit, kneel, and squat.
  • Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to hang from a rope swing for 8 seconds.
  • Ability to hold breath for a minimum of 35 seconds (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training and water survival training requirements).
