Animal Caregiver Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Animal Caregiver to join our team at The Maschhoffs. As an Animal Caregiver, you will be responsible for the daily care of our pigs, ensuring their health and well-being. This includes monitoring the barn environment, providing adequate access to feed and water, and performing daily checks on the animals.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily care to our pigs, including feeding, watering, and monitoring their health
  • Ensure the barn environment is clean and safe for the animals
  • Perform daily checks on the animals to identify any health issues
  • Assist in the training of new employees on animal care procedures

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Animal husbandry skills or the desire to learn
  • Availability to work every other weekend
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull a minimum of 50 pounds
