Your responsibilities will include providing first aid care and medically prescribed services, obtaining and reviewing consents for medication administration, and documenting each instance. You will also maintain security of school health supplies, instruct students in health and wellness, and record immunizations, health findings, and other relevant health information.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide first aid care and medically prescribed services to students
  • Obtain and review consents for medication administration in school
  • Document each instance of medication administration
  • Maintain security of school health supplies
  • Instruct students in health and wellness
  • Record immunizations, health findings, and other relevant health information
  • Develop Individual Health Care plans for students with allergies
Qualifications:
  • Current/Active Registered Nurse
  • Considerable knowledge of medical and mental health disorders and subsequent treatment
  • Considerable knowledge of child growth and development
  • Working knowledge of public health problems and procedures for treatment in coordination with other health and social service agencies
  • Working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations affecting the delivery of school health services
  • Some knowledge of the school organization and the community served
  • Capacity to coordinate and facilitate services between the school, local health agency, and other community resources
