Optometrist Job Description

The MedServ Group is a rapidly growing healthcare organization that provides top-notch care to residents in various healthcare settings. We are currently seeking a skilled Optometrist to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented Optometrist to provide high-quality vision care to our patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical and interpersonal skills, and a strong commitment to delivering quality patient care to the senior population.

Responsibilities
  • Perform Comprehensive Eye Exams: Conduct thorough eye exams to diagnose and treat various eye conditions.
  • Diagnose and Treat Ocular Disease: Use your expertise to diagnose and assist in the treatment of ocular disease.
  • Prescribe Corrective Lenses or Eye Medications: Prescribe corrective lenses or eye medications as needed to improve patients' vision.
  • Provide Pre and Post-Operative Care: Provide pre and post-operative care to surgical patients to ensure their comfort and safety.
  • Promote Healthy Vision: Counsel and educate patients on how to promote healthy vision and prevent eye diseases.
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) Degree: Possess a Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree and an active state license.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Have excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.
  • Strong Work Ethic: Demonstrate a strong sense of workplace professionalism and personal ethics.
  • Customer-Service Orientation: Possess a customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills.
Compensation and Benefits

  • 22-25 Patients per Visit: See a high volume of patients per visit, with a focus on preventative care.
  • Extremely Flexible Scheduling: Enjoy flexible scheduling to accommodate your needs and preferences.
  • Percentage Pay Option: Earn a percentage of collections, with rates ranging from 35% to 40%.
  • Per Patient Option: Earn a fixed rate per patient, with rates ranging from $40 to $45.

  • Back Office Administrative Support: Enjoy back office administrative support to help you manage your practice.
