Job Title: IATF Lead

LM Manufacturing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IATF Lead to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance department, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of TS16949 and Ford specific requirements, as well as deploying an effective internal auditing system to measure and improve process effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, improve, and maintain procedures and systems compliant with TS16949 and Ford specific requirements.
  • Plan and facilitate registration and surveillance audits with external auditors, representing LM Manufacturing and sustaining TS 16949, Ford specific Q1, MSA, CQI certifications.
  • Conduct Ford specific MSA (manufacturing site assessment) and develop, improve, and maintain systems to ensure compliance.
  • Develop and execute internal audit schedules, training, and developing internal auditors.
  • Develop and maintain Layered Process Audit systems and standardize work audit systems, tracking and facilitating issue closure and measuring effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain Poke Yoke and Red Rabbit systems, tracking and facilitating issue closure and measuring effectiveness.
  • Conduct quality systems orientations to new hires and refresher training to existing employees.
  • Maintain monthly KOI for internal audit and LPA, reporting to senior management.
  • Maintain document and data control processes for the facility, upkeeping ETQ.
  • Lead, monitor, and facilitate systemic issue closure, utilizing mechanisms such as ETQ CARs, Issue lists, 8D, and 6 panel.
  • Support and lead systems improvement.
  • Develop, improve, and maintain Hold cages, conducting daily scrap review meetings and ensuring timely disposition.
  • Provide issue resolution and customer liaison support for service issues.
  • Comply with legislative requirements as it pertains to OHSA (Occupational Health & Safety Act) and WSIA (Workplace Safety and Insurance Act).
  • Adhere to and follow all company health and safety policies, practices, and rules for the workplace.
  • Supports and enforces the 5 C's, company principles of Company goals and objectives, and decisions and policies by taking ownership and communicating these in a positive and supportive manner.
  • Displays a positive attitude towards safety, works safely, and follows all the Company's safety policies and procedures.
  • Complies with all Health, Safety, and Environmental standards in accordance with company policies, the Occupational Health & Safety Act, and the Michigan Occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • Ensures all employees and visitors have a safe environment, maintaining safety and housekeeping standards, and identifying, correcting, and/or eliminating hazards, unsafe actions, or unsafe conditions.
  • Responds to and investigates all reports of injuries, accidents, illnesses, near misses, and property damage immediately.
  • Takes an active part in the division's safety program by performing regular workplace inspections, effectively investigating accidents/incidents promptly, and assisting in meeting or exceeding the division's safety goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Post-Secondary education in Quality or a related field is an asset.

Experience: Three to five years of experience in an automotive assembly or manufacturing environment.

Experience as Internal and/or Lead Auditor.

Lead TS auditor certification.

AIAG core tools (PPAP, MSA, PFMEA, APQP, Control Plan, SPC) training certification.

ASQ internal auditor/CQA/CQE certification is an asset.

Minimum 5 years of work-related experience preferable in a JIT seating environment.

Strong computer skills required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team-oriented, communicates well with others, and able to interact with people at all levels and departments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills.
  • Detail-oriented and excellent documentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of safety standards and OSHA guidelines.
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and various manufacturing software.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

Work performed in an office and manufacturing plant environments. Normal mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amounts of work at a computer. Continuously walks and stands. Frequently performs fine finger movements, grips/grasps, push/pulls, bends/stoops, and lifts and carries parts up to thirty (30) lbs. Must be available to work any shift as well as weekends and holidays as needed.
