HVAC Estimator

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HVAC and Mechanical Estimator to join our team at Northwest Arkansas Sheet Metal. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with HVAC and mechanical projects.

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for HVAC and mechanical projects based on blueprints, specifications, and site visits.
• Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs to develop comprehensive bid proposals.
• Solicit and review bids from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and quality standards.
• Interpret and evaluate technical drawings, specifications, and other documentation to determine project requirements.
• Develop and submit proposals, including detailed cost breakdowns and scopes of work.
• Communicate with clients to understand their needs, address questions, and clarify project requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field personnel to ensure project estimates align with execution plans and client expectations.
• Stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and new technologies to provide competitive and up-to-date estimates.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, proposals, and project correspondence.

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an HVAC and mechanical estimator or in a similar role within the construction or mechanical industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in HVAC systems, mechanical components, and construction methods. Familiarity with estimating software and tools.
• Strong ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, vendors, and team members.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in estimating and documentation.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
