We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HVAC and Mechanical Estimator to join our dynamic team.

Job Summary: The HVAC and Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with HVAC and mechanical projects. This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical components, and construction processes. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work collaboratively with both internal teams and external clients to ensure the successful bidding and execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Estimation: Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for HVAC and mechanical projects based on blueprints, specifications, and site visits.
  • Cost Analysis: Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs to develop comprehensive bid proposals.
  • Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination: Solicit and review bids from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and quality standards.
  • Blueprint and Specification Review: Interpret and evaluate technical drawings, specifications, and other documentation to determine project requirements.
  • Bid Preparation: Develop and submit proposals, including detailed cost breakdowns and scopes of work.
  • Client Communication: Communicate with clients to understand their needs, address questions, and clarify project requirements.
  • Project Support: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field personnel to ensure project estimates align with execution plans and client expectations.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and new technologies to provide competitive and up-to-date estimates.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of estimates, proposals, and project correspondence.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an HVAC and mechanical estimator or in a similar role within the construction or mechanical industry.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in HVAC systems, mechanical components, and construction methods. Familiarity with estimating software and tools.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail and accuracy in estimating and documentation.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
