Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Compensation Administration: Analyze and administer compensation plans, including classification determination, salary reviews, and market analysis.
  • Classification and Job Evaluation: Conduct job evaluations and classification determinations to ensure internal equity and external market alignment.
  • HR Transactions and Requests: Review, edit, and approve HR transactions and requests, ensuring compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
  • Market Analysis and Research: Conduct market analysis and research to inform compensation and classification decisions.
  • Communication and Training: Develop and deliver training presentations and communications to promote unit initiatives and ensure compliance with university policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: At least one year of experience in human resources, preferably in compensation and classification.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Basic knowledge of salary planning tools and methods, job evaluation techniques, and market salary trends.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Industry-Specific Knowledge: Knowledge and experience with industry-specific compensation analysis, including Health Care, Research, and Academia.
  • Certifications: Certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM Certified Professional.
  • Technical Skills: Experience generating data reports and knowledge of state and federal regulations affecting human resources.
