We are in search of a Registered Nurse for the General Surgery department to ensure the delivery of high-quality, efficient patient care. If you are passionate about patient care and thrive in a supportive team environment, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.
About the Department:
The General Surgery unit consists of 44 beds dedicated to post-operative care, assisting patients during their recovery until they are ready for discharge. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, executing care plans, managing TPN, PCA, tube feeds, ostomy care, biliary drains, urinary catheters, IV antibiotics, wound care, wound vacs, central line management, JP drains, NG tubes, and pain management through both pharmacological and non-pharmacological methods.
Job Summary and Qualifications- Leads the provision of professional nursing care, ensuring patient comfort and well-being.
- Employs the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and education for patients and their families.
- Implements medically prescribed interventions.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program with completion within five years of hire. Exemptions may apply for RNs with 10 or more years of experience.
- Preferred Education: Master’s degree in Nursing.
- Licensure/Certifications: Current RN licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing; eNLC license may apply. Certification: BLS Healthcare Provider.
- Preferred Licensure/Certifications: National Certification in specialty area.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of nursing experience.
- This position requires full COVID-19 vaccination in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
