Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Support Specialist to join our team at Making A Difference Staffing LLC. As an Engineering Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing technical support and assistance to our engineering team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Conduct design and development activities within assigned departments, including water treatment and distribution systems, hydraulic systems, heat transfer systems, and electrical systems.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and assistance to engineers and technicians, including research, drafting, specification preparations, and computerized design and project simulations.
  • Project Management: Manage capital improvement projects and maintenance programs for electrical equipment and instrumentation & control systems, including transformers, motors, switchgears, and communication systems.
  • Asset Management: Participate in asset management, capital planning, and safety initiatives, following National Electric Code (NEC) guidelines.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with engineers, developers, other professionals, and various agencies regarding project status and requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering support, design, and development, with a strong background in electrical systems, water treatment, and hydraulic systems.
  • Skills: Strong technical skills, including proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, data analysis, and project management.
  • Certifications: Possession of a valid Driver's License and ability to obtain a Professional Engineer registration.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent travel to construction sites and other locations. The position requires the ability to work in a team environment, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
