Position Overview:
As an Agricultural Equipment Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough inspections, diagnosing issues, and performing repairs on a variety of agricultural machinery.
- Utilizing diagnostic tools and resources, including technical manuals and personal expertise, to identify equipment malfunctions.
- Coordinating with the parts department to request necessary components for repairs and monitoring the status of machinery.
- Planning and executing repair sequences efficiently.
- Executing complex repairs, including engine overhauls, gasket replacements, hydraulic system repairs, and transmission work.
- Preparing detailed inspection and service reports, maintaining accurate records as required.
- Adhering to company policies and regulatory standards.
Physical Requirements:
This role involves working in various positions, including standing for extended periods, bending, crawling, and lying down to access machinery. Technicians frequently lift items weighing up to 50 pounds independently and may require assistance for heavier objects.
Work Environment:
Technicians will work both in the shop and at customer locations, often in outdoor settings. This position may expose you to various elements, including grease, dust, and noise. Safety is paramount, and adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment is essential.
Travel Requirements:
This position necessitates regular travel between customer sites and the shop.
